Tired of winter and looking for an early spring ride and a place to buy, sell trade bicycling items? Then join us on Saturday, March 28 for a day of bicycling and fun in beautiful Pottawatomie County, Kansas. The 5th Annual Cabin Fever Challenge will begin and end at the Wamego Middle School, Wamego, KS. New this year is a Bike Swap Meet.
Also new this year is a ‘Huffy Bike Toss’. A local bicyclist is donating an old bike of his that will be used/abused for this event. Cost: $1 per throw. Location: 1pm, basketball courts (NW corner of school parking lot). Rules: the bike has to leave the ground and wherever it stops, we measure from the “throw line” (marked with tape or chalk) to the nearest point of the bike. Prizes: Three individuals with the farthest throws win: 1st: T-shirt, 2nd: Spotlit, 3rd: Spokelit.
Net proceeds from the ride are deposited in the 501c3 WAM-SAG-MAN Trail account in the Wamego Community Foundation (www.thewcf.org).
